Pros and Cons

Thursday, August 26th, 2010

Pro: Waking up in the middle of the night, grabbing my iPod Touch, watching videos, playing a round of Hangman, losing at a hand of poker, and checking email.

Cons: Falling back asleep and dreaming about Kanye West after reading an influx of tweets he posted in Twitter and, well, that’s not really what I want to dream about.

Generic candy tends to meet the stereotypical presupposition a person my possess of generic candy. I still buy the stuff, but I admit that most store brands of butterscotch hard candy is not quite as tasty as a Brach’s Butterscotch hard candy which is even below the quality of Werther’s butterscotch candies. I guess when I buy something called a butterscotch “disc” and it is more orange than yellow in color I shouldn’t be surprised by the taste when I pop it in my mouth.

Darn, if only Google maps said whether the neighborhood was “good” or “bad.” Guess, y’all will need to rent an economy car to drive to the scary city. I heard the “ding” fairy visits “bad” neighborhoods and leaves it marks on nicely kept, fancy cars. Good golly!

Pet peeve #823: When individuals who teach the youth of America have personalized plates announcing their profession, but misspell the words.

This reminds me of the boat song.

You Won’t Know

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

Because if I want to listen to a song which mentions a “daughter” I surely will not be listening to any John Mayer (sp?) songs.

I wonder what it would be like to be a type of person who after they’d die people would go on about what a nice person they were, etc. Hmmm, hmmm.

This is another “You Won’t Know” music video with a more produced sound, however, whatever experienced as a gain auditorily may equal a loss visually in not being able to watch the artistry and emotion of the musicians. It’s a choice that requires a balancing test.

The completion of exams, papers, tasks, semesters, etc. has increasingly become anti-climactic. In no way does the feeling of relief match the stress and anxiety I feel beforehand. Perhaps I teeter on the edges of apathy too far in the direction and need to move closer to the middle all around? I think this requires a balancing test. In any case, I think there is a drug for it, you know, to give a person an “A” on that balancing test and make everything slide straight down the middle and right off your back.
